Normani has finally unveiled a new music collaboration “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B.
The track also receives a visual treatment that pushes the singer into the limelight while showcasing her talent for dancing. Of course, Sean Bankhead led choreography for the video, this is another moment for him as he also choreographed Normani’s viral single “Motivation.” Tanu Muino directed “Wild Side.”
This marks the first time Normani and Cardi B have ever collaborated on a track. Ahead of the release, the duo shared the striking cover art for the single on social media. In a statement, the former Fifth Harmony singer shares details on the collab. “I had already been in rehearsal for about three weeks preparing for the video when Cardi heard the record for the first time.” She adds, “She really showed up for me and brought this record to life by simply doing what Cardi does best. I love that woman down and I’m forever grateful.”
We love good tweets, so before we share a few of our favorite reactions to the video, we figured it’s worth mentioning that the “Wild Side” clip exudes sex appeal. This single might sneakily become a song we see ourselves returning to all summer long. Did anyone catch the “One In A Million,” Aaliyah sample? Also, when you’re ready to talk about Normani scissoring herself let us know.
Normani is a showstopper and we’re hoping the release of this new track points to an upcoming album. She’s been quite secretive for months now on the status of new music. Cardi on the other hand is slated to drop a new album, no release date has been unveiled yet.
