T.I. & Tiny’s Disturbing Sexual Assault Case in L.A. Has Been Dismissed

Earlier this year an alleged victim filed a police report against T.I. and Tiny recalling an incident in Los Angeles in 2005. Her report was dismissed this week due to a statute of limitations.

Trigger warning: this article contains details of rape and sexual assault.

T.I. and wife Tiny will not face any charges following accusations that they sexually assaulted a woman in Los Angeles in 2005, per TMZ

According to TMZ, the rapper and his wife will not be charged since the case is not within the 10-year statute of limitations, the incident took place 16 years ago. The woman who accused the couple of drugging and sexually assaulting her brought the case forward anonymously earlier this year. She alleged she met T.I. and Tiny at a club and that following this they attempted to drug and assault her.

“Mr. and Mrs. Harris are pleased, but not surprised, by the district attorney’s decision to dismiss these meritless allegations,” the couple’s attorney said in a statement Thursday. “We appreciate the DA’s careful review of the case and are grateful to be able to put the matter behind us and move on.”

In May, the LAPD announced it had launched an investigation into the couple after Jane Doe filed a police report.

T.I. and Tiny are still facing numerous allegations from women who claim they utilized their fame and influence to sexually assault women. Back in March, attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn urged attorneys in several states to investigate claims from women in multiple states that the husband and wife had engaged in “forcing drugging, kidnapping, rape and intimidation,” reports CBS.

Earlier this week, the rapper commented on the allegations in a podcast interview. He continued to deny the claims extensively.

During the extensive conversation, he shared, “A Peepin-Tom ass muthaf*cker. An old under-the-bed-sniffin’-socks muthaf*cker. I ain’t never presented myself as nuthin’ but a playa. I don’t understand where this narrative came from.”
