On Wednesday, Questlove launched Season Two of his popular Pandora podcast Questlove Supreme.
And he did it in a special way; by having legendary singer Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds on as a guest on the show. Of course, if you were paying attention to Season One you already knew that Quest regularly had great guests, ranging from Solange to Chris Rock to Usher. This year isn’t different with Nelly Furtado and legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis already penciled in.
Season One of Questlove Supreme was a bit of a phenomenon. More than 4.5 million users added the Questlove Supreme station during that first season. If you haven’t had the chance to hear the podcast, the show is basically a look inside of the head of The Roots’ legendary drummer. Each week’s episode features in-depth interviews, commentary, and all the deep cuts you would want to hear from Quest.
A number of new features have been added to Season Two. Listeners can now access the program in a chapter format, which will allow people to revisit and pause segments, and a mixtape featuring the songs referenced in an episode will be available weekly.
