A star-studded and final outing for the Bed Stuy legend, Life After Death basically serves as the rapper’s magnum opus, neck-deep in timeless cuts. Equal parts street anthems (“Kick In The Door,” “What’s Beef,” “I Got A Story To Tell”) and chart-toppers (“Hypnotize,” “Mo Money Mo Problems,” “Going Back To Cali,”) the second and final outing from Wallace (the only Christopher we acknowledge,) released just weeks after his tragic death, was inescapable proof that Biggie’s voice and standard would haunt the genre for years to come.
