Dave Chappelle Joins the Star-Studded Cast of the ‘A Star Is Born’ Remake

Dave Chappelle is making up for lost time.

The legendary comedian has not been very prolific over the last decade or so. That's starting to change this year. He's already released two critically acclaimed Netflix specials. And now it looks like we're going to see him on the big screen.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Chappelle has joined the staff of the A Star is Born remake. The comedian will join a staff that already includes Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

Chappelle will play someone named Noodles, who is the best friend of the character that Bradley Copper will play. The movie will have a release date of September of 2018.

This is the fourth time that they've made A Star is Born movie. The first movie, which tells the story of a washed-up movie star helping a young up-and-comer, came out in 1937; the last one came in 1976.

In other Dave Chappelle news, it has just been announced that the comedian has eight stand-up shows in Atlanta in June. The dates are June 11 to 16 and then 18 to 19. We're not sure, but we think Chappelle is finishing up his next Netflix special.
