Here's How One Maxo Kream and NFL Cartel Bo Video Led to 20 Arrests

This one music video led to multiple gun charges.

Twenty people have been arrested following the screening of Houston rapper Maxo Kream and NFL Cartel Bo Brown’s "Hoova" music video.

The video, was released in May 2018, featured Kream, born Emekwanem Ogugua Biosah J, and Brown, real name Warren Brown, alongside a group of people brandishing guns as props.

Maxo Kream was not arrested in connection to the video, which has more than 2 million views. Brown is reportedly on the run after being charged with illegal possession of two assault rifles. Authorities also say Brown cut off his ankle monitor.

According to Houston television station KRPC, the arrests were reportedly all made over illegal possession of a weapon charges. Authorities used the footage to identify nearly a dozen loaded guns and who they've alleged as gang members in the video.

The video shoot took place in March at Houston’s Lakewood Park. When police had arrived to the set, individuals who appeared in the video reportedly fled and left guns from the set behind.

According to a report in Click2Houston, 11 of the men are either in state or federal custody, and nine suspects are wanted for open warrants.

Kenyon Tennesse, One of the men in the video died before he could be charged. He was killed in November outside a Westside nightclub.
