Mac Miller’s Alleged Drug Dealer Has Been Charged In Connection to Rapper’s Death

Authorities say 28-year-old Cameron James Pettit supplied the late rapper with counterfeit oxycodone pills that contained fentanyl.

Mac Miller died of an accidental drug overdose in September 2018.

According to a report in  TMZ, the late rapper’s alleged drug dealer has been charged in connection with his death. Authorities say that 28-year-old Cameron James Pettit supplied Miller with counterfeit oxycodone pills that contained fentanyl.

Pettit was charged on Wednesday (Sept. 4) in a criminal complaint from the Central District of California. He was named as one of three people responsible for the supply of fentanyl-laced oxycodone pills. The other two individuals remain unnamed. Petit was taken into custody.

Prosecutors claimed that Miller asked the dealer for Percoset pills prior to his death. Xanax, cocaine, and fentanyl were found at the rapper’s home. At the time of his death, traces of cocaine, fentanyl, and alcohol were found in his system.

Fentanyl has reportedly been the same drug that contributed to the deaths of Prince, Tom Petty, and raper Lil Peep.
