Lee Fields & The Expressions perform tracks from their 2014 Emma Jean LP live in The Roadhouse on Seattle’s KEXP. The four-track set also features an interview with KEXP’s DJ Greg Vandy about the slow and steady rise of the soul music veteran and the 40-year wait that ended with the formation of Fields’ current band, which features Truth & Soul Records co-founder Leon Michaels on saxophone. The band performs “Just Can’t Win”, “Don’t Leave Me This Way”, “Talk To Somebody” and “Faithful Man” – the title track to the band’s critically-acclaimed 2012 LP. Check the footage below to watch the full performance and interview. Purchase the Emma Jean LP via iTunes. Stay tuned for more from Lee Fields & The Expressions.
