Jay-Z, dream hampton, Wyatt Cenac and actor Joe Bryant are all executive producers on Terence Nance‘s film An Oversimplification Of Her Beauty, which premiered at Sundance earlier this year and won the honor of “Best Film Not Playing At A Theater Near You” at the Gotham Awards. This okayplayer dream team of power-producers is set to release the film theatrically in early 2013, followed by a DVD and digital release through Cinema Guild (who recently acquired the distribution rights). A mix of live-action and animation, An Oversimplification Of Her Beauty explores the shaky relationship between Nance and a young woman (played by Namik Minter) as it nervously balances between romantic and platonic. Watch the trailer below and look for the film to eventually find its way to a theater near you.
