J. Cole has dropped another track from his forthcoming sophomore LP, Born Sinner. “Forbidden Fruit” is assisted by Kendrick Lamar on the hook and samples Ronnie Foster‘s “Mystic Brew,” the same track sampled on ATCQ‘s classic “Electric Relaxation.” The smooth beat lays the foundation for J. Cole to spit about the fact that he is sharing the June 18th release date with Kanye West‘s Yeezus. In other J. Cole news, episode 5 of his Born Sinner webseries features Miguel reflecting on his career and his philosophies behind being a well-known singer. There is also a video of Cole discussing the backstory to his semi-controversial new track, “Let Nas Down” at an album listening party last night. Check Born Sinner‘s tracklist below and Pre-Order via iTunes. Stream “Forbidden Fruit” and find the related videos below.
