Fat Tony is putting on a livestream benefit concert.

The Houston rapper will stream a performance on Friday, March 20, at the Brooklyn venue Purgatory. The concert is a fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank, a non-profit organization that has been assisting in efforts to help provide food to those in need during the coronavirus pandemic. The livestream via YouTube will begin at 9pm EST. The livestream will also include a donation link in its description. (A separate donation link can also be found here.)

Speaking on the livestream, Tony said the following via e-mail:

"These days it feels like we're living in purgatory; unsure of what will happen next or if things will get better or worse first. The one thing I know is that we all gotta stay our ass at home. Instead of just vibing alone I'm bringing some cameras. This Friday's live stream concert is a fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank, an organization that will ensure quarantined individuals and the children who are out of school won't be missing any meals. I'll be broadcasting live without an audience at Purgatory, a Brooklyn venue owned and operated predominantly by women."

Tony released his latest album, Wake Up, last month. The project is made in collaboration with Taydex (who produced tracks from Tony’s MacGregor Park album) and serves as the follow-up to 2018’s 10,000 Hours.
