“I believe in re-balancing the R&B scale. I believe in showing people the other variety that’s been forgotten about.”
BJ The Chicago Kid uttered those words recently in conversation with VIBE, who just premiered a vibrant visual for his latest single “The Resume” off his highly-anticipated forthcoming debut LP, In My Mind. Details on that release have been slim, but what we do know is that it will be arriving in February with features from Chance The Rapper, Kendrick Lamar and Big K.R.I.T. to name just a few. But “The Resume” is a sparse and sultry introduction to the release and its visual accompaniment is as steamy as the song itself, finding a lone Chicago Kid crooning the night away on a dimly-lit stage, as a dime looks on from a far. Still no word on the precise date of his album’s release, but this should certainly hold you over until then. Peep the steamy visual for BJ The Chicago Kid’s new single “The Resume below and hold tight for more in the weeks and months ahead.
