Quavo & Offset Reportedly Got Into Altercation Before 2023 Grammys Tribute to Takeoff

Quavo and Takeoff reportedly got into a scuffle at the 2023 Grammys when the latter was prevented from joining tribute to Takeoff.

The family feud has reportedly continued between Migos members Quavo and Offset. Ahead of Quavo’s emotional rendition of “Without You” dedicated to his nephew and collaborative partner, Takeoff, joined by gospel choir Maverick City Music, the rapper and Offset reportedly got into a scuffle backstage according to TMZ.

Sources claim that before Quavo, legal name Quavious Keyate Marshall, took the Arena stage, Offset attempted to join as the Recording Academy allegedly asked him to take part in the tribute to Takeoff. Marshall allegedly prevented Offset from accompanying him onstage, leading to a fight.

Tension between Marshall and Offset have brewed over the last year, with the former releasing collaborative album Unc & Phew with Takeoff in October, less than one month before his murder. Takeoff was gunned down at Houston’s 810 Billiards & Bowling on November 1. While at the downtown bowling alley, Marshall and Takeoff were at a party with approximately 40 to 50 people when a dice game reportedly got heated, resulting in shots being fired.

During the 2023 Grammy Awards, Rap-A-Lot CEO J Prince suggested on a recent episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game that Offset was not supportive of Takeoff before the rapper was killed.

“In reality, the truth of the matter is, nigga you wasn’t really right there with Takeoff when he was alive. So for you to be taking these positions that you taking,” Prince said towards Offset.

“Don’t ever put me in a position where I have to defend myself. That wouldn’t be healthy for you,” Prince added, seemingly threatening the Father of 4 artist.

Offset responded in a black-and-white clip posted to social media.

“How dare one of y’all niggas even speak on me and Take relationship. I don’t know you niggas from a can of paint. Ya’ll niggas don’t know how me and my brother rock,” he said.
