This shit hard.
A day after releasing his critically acclaimed new album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, Kendrick Lamar has dropped a video for second song on the album, “N95.” It was directed by Dave Free and Kendrick himself.
As for the video, it continues the rapper’s hot streak for excellent visuals. The video features all these gorgeous abstract shots, with the most striking being Kendrick aholding crucifixion, Jesus pose. (There is also an appearance from Baby Keem, who helped produce the song.)
“N95” is the second new video Kendrick has dropped over the last two weeks. The first was for “The Heart 5,” which featured Kendrick and his pgLang team utilizing deepfake technology.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is the first solo album from Kendrick in five years and the final one that will appear on TDE. The album features appearances from Summer Walker, Kodak Black, Blxst, Sampha, and more. After it was released it got near critical acclaim from fans. (Even though there has been some pushback against some creative choices Kendrick made, including adding Kodak Black to the album and the controversial record “Auntie Diaries.“)
Following the release of the album, Lamar announced ‘The Big Steppers Tour’ with support from fellow pgLang artists Keem and Tanna Leone. General tickets for ‘The Big Steppers Tour’ go on sale Friday, May 20th at 12 PM local time on Lamar’s website.
