Watch Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak (Silk Sonic) Not Perform New Music at the 2021 Bet Awards

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak brought their no. 1 hit to the 2021 BET Awards.

Silk Sonic has still not given fans a new album. At least they have given fans many stellar performances.

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak brought their Silk Sonic act to the 2021 BET Awards. While there they performed their no. 1 hit, “Leave the Door Open.” The two have shown themselves to be quite the tricksters. Near the end of the performance, they started teasing the premiere of a new song. But, unfortunately, no new music was performed.

Earlier in the evening, Silk Sonic won the Best Group award, beating out Chloe X Halle, City Girls, Chris Brown & Young Thug, and Migos, despite the fact Silk Sonic has yet to put out an album.

Back in February, Bruno and Anderson announced they were releasing an album together as Silk Sonic. Led by the single “Leave the Door Open,” the album still doesn’t have a release date. But the assumption is that it will drop this year. In April, “Leave the Door Open ” went no. 1, giving Bruno Mars his eighth no. 1 and Anderson .Paak his first. On his Instagram, Anderson wrote:

“It is now safe to wear your bell bottoms all week,” Paak wrote on Instagram. “Leave The Door Open is the number 1 song in the country and I can’t thank y’all enough! @brunomars we poppin bottles in the Stu today I’m otw champ!”

Check out Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak performing “Leave the Door Open” below.
