Scott Storch has opened a drug rehab center that will use cannabis to help patients recover from addiction.
On Saturday, the producer took to Instagram to share a video of the opening of The Heavenly Center, which he opened alongside longtime music manager Steve Lobel and national recovery advocate Nick Morgan.
“I spent 8 years addicted to drugs and was able to get sober and rebuild my life. .Now it’s my turn to help save lives with my cannabis for healing rehab,” Storch wrote in a caption alongside the video.
He had previously talked about The Heavenly Center in an interview for CTM Entertainment.
My wife helped me quit doing drugs and recommended I start smoking weed,” he said. “It never harmed me. It cured me and helped through the anxiety of kicking cocaine and other things. Because it worked, we wanted to open up The Heavenly Center to help other people recover in a healthy alternative way.”
In 2018, Storch was the focus of a 30-minute documentary that detailed his entry to music, his battles with drug addiction, and both his long-lasting and short-lived relationships in the music industry.
