Pete Davidson Will Play a Fictionalized Version of Himself in New Comedy Series ‘Bupkis’

Playing a fictionalized version of himself, Pete Davidson is set to star as the lead in upcoming comedy series Bupkis.

Despite having another brutal “Eazy” depiction, Pete Davidson can celebrate one major win this week. The Saturday Night Live cast member is set to portray a fictionalized version of himself in upcoming series Bupkis, per Deadline.

With the series inspired by his life, Davidson will co-write Bupkis with long-time friend and collaborator Dave Sirus (SNL, The King of Staten Island) and Judah Miller (Crashing).

Compared to Curb Your Enthusiasm, the series is described as “a raw, unflinching, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life” with a culmination of “grounded storytelling with absurd elements depicting an unfiltered view through Pete’s eyes.”

While Bupkis hasn’t yet landed a streaming platform or network channel, it’s been pitched to Prime Video and Peacock, who have allegedly shown interest.

At 28-years-old, Davidson started as the youngest SNL cast member, and is currently in his eighth season of the long-running sketch comedy series. While Davidson is temporarily on leave from SNL, he’s filming Mirmax horror thriller The Home as character ‘Max’. Davidson will also star in upcoming films Meet Cute opposite Kaley Cuoco, Good Mourning with a U with Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox and slasher film Bodies Bodies Bodies which will premiere at SXSW.

As Davidson remains booked and busy, he briefly responded to Ye’s graphic depiction of him in the first ‘Eazy’ video. According to Entertainment Tonight, A source claimed that Davidson called Ye’s portrayal of him “hysterical” and that he’s “almost flattered by it all because it is so ridiculous to him.”
