Netflix Unveiled 2022 Movie Slate & It’s Jam-Packed

Netflix unveiled their upcoming original films, with Jennifer Lopez, Jamie Foxx, Jason Momoa and more in starring roles.

We’re just one month into 2022, but Netflix couldn’t wait any longer. The streaming platform has dropped a surprise preview of what films are to come for the next 11 months, from comedy Day Shift starring Jamie Foxx to Halloween film Boo! starring Marlon Wayans. Foxx will also star in fellow comedy film They Cloned Tyrone with John Boyega and Teyonah Parris.

Jennifer Lopez will be in documentary centering her life in 2019 when she turned 50, when she starred in heist film Hustlers and was preparing to co-headline the Super Bowl with Shakira. Following her 2021 directorial debut Bruised, Halle Berry will return to the platform in sci-fi adventure film The Mothership directed by Matt Charman.

From director Henry Selick comes stop motion comedy Wendall & Wild, starring  Keegan Michael-Key and Jordan Peele, who also co-wrote the film. Wendall & Wild will be the most recent collaboration between the duo since their Comedy Central series Key & Peele ended in 2015.

Netflix will also be releasing a sequel to 2019 mystery film Knives Out with appearances from Janelle Monáe and Leslie Odom Jr. Like Foxx, Jason Momoa will also be in two Netflix films, The Sea Beast about a dangerous sea monster and fantasy comedy-adventure Slumberland.
