Dave Chappelle has come up with yet another Grammy. In the early (sadly, untelevised) portion of tonight’s ceremony, his specials Equanimity & The Bird Revelation won the award for Best Comedy Album. Chappelle won out over fellow giants, Chris Rock (Tambourine,) Patton Oswalt (Annihilation,) Fred Armisen (Standup for Drummers,) and Jim Gaffigan (Noble Ape,) all nominated for their respective specials (all stellar, by the way.)

It’s the comedian’s second victory in the category, following last year’s win for the comeback specials, The Age of Spin and Deep In The Heart of Texas, taking home the honors over specials from Kevin Hart, Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Silverman, and Gaffigan.
