Machine Gun Kelly scored his first number-one release with his latest project.

On September 25, Machine Gun Kelly dropped his latest project, Tickets to My Downfall through Bad Boy Records and EST 19XX. The Cleveland-born MC collaborated with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker for the pop-punk project, which took a different stylistic turn from previous releases. On Monday, Billboard announced the album hit the top spot for the week ending October 1.

"We did it," MGK gleefully wrote on Instagram, smashing a guitar in celebration. "#1 album. 126,000 units first weeks. To the fans...you really made it happen the way we talked about 10 years ago. Today is a celebration."

The project is Bad Boy Records' first number-one album since Danity Kane's 2008 album Welcome to the Dollhouse.

"I just want to go against what everyone else thinks," Kelly said in an interview for The Howard Stern Show. "I make a pop-punk record...and everyone's like, 'you switched genres!' To me, I just added on to the multiple things I've already done anyway, but sure, what a narrow-minded way to look at things."

It seems his long-running feud with Eminem is over, or at least, on the back burner for now. The two don't perform either of their tracks aimed at each other during shows anymore. At the moment, Kelly's more focused on acting. Recently, he's appeared in the Motley Crue documentary The Dirt, as well as the Netflix action film Project Power, starring Jamie Foxx.

The project is his first Kelly's last album, Hotel Diablo, peaked at number five on the chart.
