Pass The Popcorn: A Whitney Houston Documentary Is In The Works

At some point in what we hope is the very near future, a documentary treatment of Whitney Houston's life will reportedly make its way to BBC Two. According to PitchforkKurt & Courtney director Nick Broomfield(who was also at the helm for the Biggie And Tupacdoc) will be taking the reins of this project, which promises it will be as hard-hitting as they get. Those that have actually seen Kurt & Courtney, know damn-well the type of truth-seeking Broomfield's after: the type that causes old spouses to file suit for accusing them of having a hand in their ex's death (which typically makes for a great film.)

There's yet to be any sort of finite timeline for the film's release, but you can be sure that we'll have our heads on a swivel for updates on the release. In the meantime, we'd suggest a rigorous listening regiment of Whitney's expansive catalogue, just so you're ready for the imminent heartbreak of a film of this weight. Oh, and cross your fingers along with all of the Okayplayers of the world that a long-rumored hologram tour of the late Whitney Houston never actually comes to fruition.
