For the latest Dilla Edition of Bling47's Breaks series, the homie Waajeed took a trip to Bedstuy to visit DJ Spinna at his "Thingamjig" studio. In spite of his own undeniable accomplishments as a beatsmith, Spinna is clearly and genuinely humbled by the unparalleled artistry displayed by Dilla on his "Little Brother" beat for Black Star. Chopping up his own copy of Roy Ayers' inspirational "Ain't Got Time", Spinna does some musical Soul-searching, following in the tracks of the late great Jay Dee to recreate this masterful tune.
