A new documentary feature film will chart the wild rise, success and fall of Tower Records. At one point a music merchandising empire that stretched across the globe, Tower stores became hubs for sonic discovery (and plenty of heated debates) in cities like Tokyo, London, New York City and San Francisco. All Things Must Pass, the new Colin Hanks-directed doc, will dig deep into the company's humble beginnings in small drugstores and take audiences along for the ride as it becomes a standard-bearer for the entire industry.

Russ Solomon, Michael Solomon, Heidi Cotler, Mark Viducich, Stan Goman, Bob Delanoy, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John and David Geffen all make appearances in the film, which opened at the 2015 SXSW film festival and has received rave reviews. A new trailer for the documentary has just been made public, now giving wider audiences a sampling of what's in store. Was the internet the sole killer of Tower, or were there other forces at work?
