The beast coast is slowly plotting its hip-hop takeover, with young'uns like Flatbush Zombies, Pro Era--and of course The Underachievers. If you're not familiar with the Flatbush rappers on FlyLo's Brainfeeder label, the duo that goes by the name of The Underachievers is Issa Dash and AK - two kids who are here to stay. With their debut mixtape Indigoism about to drop on February 1st, the two just released an official video for their track "The Mahdi," a jazz-infused jam that puts you in that "93 Til Infinity" type feel (in fact, sounds like they flipped the same sample). The Underachievers also recently chopped it up with Mass Appeal on their VideoPrint series to talk about their plan to take-over the hip-hop scene...not to mention the government. Along with fellow beast coast-ers from Flatbush Zombies and Pro Era, the duo go in about the impending musical revolution as well as the message behind their mixtape Indigoism. Listen to their thoughts below and be sure to cop the mixtape when it drops in a few.
