SZA Performs "Teen Spirit" Live For #Uncapped

SZA--the lone songstress currently repping TDE--gave a spirited performance of  her single "Teen Spirit" at the Westside Gallery last week in NYC for FADER's #Uncapped series. If you caught fellow TDE signee Schoolboy Q's performance on the same lavender-haze-filled stage last week, then you're also well aware the fact that the first lady of Black Hippy has plenty to celebrate these days with her signing to the premium indie label and gaining such exceptional notoriety both stateside and abroad as part of hip-hop's illest and most well-rounded collective. The Wondagurl-produced track is a plush collage of sounds that form the "texture of the times," the trap drums and feathery rhodes chords lending themselves to the songbird's lilting, yet powerful vocals.

The wealth of material these Cali natives have manifested is pretty remarkable considering each of them have several solo LPs and are featured on each other's work. The exceptionally talented hip-hop aggregate is due to release several albums in the following months, starting with Schoolboy Q's and then eventually the follow up to SZA's critically acclaimed sophomore LP S. If there's anything we can be sure of, the budding artistry of this young vocalist is not only impressive, but indicative of a long and fruitful career. Lets hope we get to hear some new heat from this lady soon. Meanwhile, if you need something to hold you over, go catch a glimpse of her performing "Teen Spirit" in NYC below.
