Snoop Dogg's forays into football will level up later this year when AOL rolls out a new reality show, directed by and starring the hip-hop legend, dedicated to the Snoop Youth Football League--a kids competitive circuit that he himself created.

Billboard reports that the collaboration will pair the Doggfather's own Snoopadelic Films production house with AOL and follow the players and coaches of his youth ball league as they practice, compete, win and lose while "Gin & Juice" blasts non-stop in the background. We might have been making that last bit up.

Since its creation in 2005, the SYFL has seen multiple former players land spots on NFL rosters. More generally, the league has provided hundreds of low-income kids the chance to play when it would have otherwise been impossible.

“The kids I get to mentor through SYFL means more to me than anything else I do,” Snoop Dogg told Billboard. “We got kids in the league from all over and the spirit I see from them and their love of the game and life -- it moves me. The SYFL is more than just football; it's about the kids, their families and the life coaching the SYFL provides to the entire community. I want the world to see their stories, talent and commitment -- and now they will through our new series.”
