Forefathers of hip-hop The Rock Steady Crew graced the island of Puerto Rico to celebrate its NYC diaspora's immense contribution to the b-boy and b-girl foundation of the community. In the inaugural event Puerto Rock Steady, the founders brought together the community with performances by Tony Touch, Rich Medina, Sucio Smash, Statik Selektah, Ivan Robles, Jansy, and OG Rock Steady member and cultural ambassador Richie Colón, known to most as Crazy Legs. What ensued was a funked out bash of legendary DJs curating a retrospective of the scratching and dancing that cemented the crew to the vanguard of hip-hop in its day and conveying the timeless relevance of one of hip-hop's first and most lauded cliques.
