Kamasi Washington's Sprawling "Re Run Home" Gets A Dance Remix From Kon

All praise to the infinite voodoo wonder of Kamasi Washington. At the top of 2015, if you had argued that his 3 hour live jazz LP The Epic would be one of the most powerful and highly-regarded releases of the year, few might have seen things your way. But here we are, bumping that megaton sax salvo from sunup to sundown, and damned if it don't feel great.

One of the album's standout tracks is "Re Run Home," a 14 minute cooking session spiced up with afrobeat and shuffle. Now, that track has gotten a dancefloor treatment courtesy of Boston producer Kon, who has uploaded a shorter, simpler flip to the track, which brings it into borderline disco territory. That might sound strange, but trust us, it goes.

Listen to Kon's vibrant remix of the track below, and check out Kamasi's remaining world tour dates, which include stops in LA, New York, Florida and more.
