R. Kelly Evicted From Georgia Homes Where Alleged 'Sex Cult' Was Held
The singer reportedly owes thousands in unpaid rent.
Court documents show R. Kelly has been evicted from two Atlanta-area homes over unpaid rent, according to an Associated Press report. The Fulton County magistrate court filings on Feb. 13 show the 51-year-old singer owes more than $31,000 in back payments to SB Property Management Global, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday.
Kelly reportedly paid $3,000 a month and $11,542 a month, respectively, for two homes located two miles apart. There are no criminal records on filing that are related to the matter.
The property company and representative would not comment to AP.
Last week, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office announced it is still reviewing a file from Johns Creek police following 2017 allegations. In July of that year, Buzzfeed published a detailed investigative report in which the singer was accused of holding women against their will as part of a “sex cult” inside the Duluth mansion.
