Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes follow the release of their one-off single “Thank You” with news of a forthcoming mixtape entitled The Abstract and The Dragon. The song infused with Alicia Myers‘ classic track of nearly the same name was accompanied by photos of the pair on set filming the video for the track. That was enough to get fans excited. Busta continued to raise the level of the boom at Barclay’s this week during Tribe‘s Yeezus Tour performance. Riding the wave, they return with news of the forthcoming mixtape project just to send fans completely over the edge. Judging by the sound of “Thank You”, this joint promises to be a banger. The December 12th release date means that it will be arriving just in time for the holidays. Stay tuned for more from the forthcoming The Abstract and The Dragon mixtape from Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes. See below for behind-the-scenes footage of the “Thank You” video shoot in the meantime.

    This will not suck. Guaranteed.

  • Bob Saget

That cover is a blatant cut and paste of the Dragon Age II video game cover.

That’s the nature of a mixtape, to borrow.

The music will indeed be dope but the cover art shown above is atrocious.

Ay, its a mixtape… minimal money goes into cover art for mixtapes. The music will speak for itself.

The mixtape cover is a throwback to The Low End Theory artwork.

Where will it be sold? I’d rather not download it. Projects like this deserve my money.
