Prince Rips Through Three Sets In Belgium [Setlists + Video Clip]

Prince strutted his funk muscle the other night, as he performed a head-sctratching 3 sets in just 5 hours for a 400-capacity club in Belgium. The Purple Majestic broke out all the hits, contemporary and classic, pulling from all of his incarnations (as the Time, as Vanity 6, as The Family, and so one and so forth.) Though I'm thrilled for his adoring Belgian public, there's a deep-seeded envy of them that I just can't shake. Come on P, when are the states gonna get that kinda treatment?

Jealousy aside, this is -- without any question -- the year of the Purple One, as he secured the rights to his own publishing just a few months ago and squashed a longstanding beef with Warner Music, putting him in perfect position to drop that ever-coveted, ever-delayed new LP. While we might not be getting a solo record anytime soon, he's been making the rounds with his power trio 3rdEyeGirland readying us for his collaborative album Plectrumelectrum, which already has some bonafide heat under it's belt.
