True Villain: MF DOOM Transmits An Official Update From A Remote Island Lair
2015 has proven to be a fairly present year for a man, a myth as reclusive as one MF DOOM. He's popped out of hiding to grace a handful of cuts with his grisliness and tipped his hat to the late Sean Price upon his tragically recent death. And then, while you were all gorging yourselves on granny's mashed-potatoes and auntie's turkey bake, ole metal fingers went and dropped cryptic little transmission from somewhere in his weird and wild world.
Over the weekend, a video of DOOM enjoying the villainous life in a remote tropical location surfaced to the Internets, finding him sailing the high seas, putting back cigar plumes and even taking a leisurely dip into the pool, appearing to generally enjoy his time on the lam. Little is said of his future musical exploits, but he does warn that his return is being plotted for 2016.
Whether that means that the unholy DOOMStarks collaboration with Ghostface Killah is finally coming to fruition or we'll simply be getting another grip of one-offs in the new year, new DOOM is almost always good DOOM.
