Mayer Hawthorne - "Cosmic Love"
2015 certainly proved to be the year that Mayer Hawthorne explored the brilliance of the boogie canon in the Tuxedo collaboration with Jake One, but the new year looks to be one that will be graced with a fresh new solo project from the Motor City music man.
Today, Hawthorne has announced that a new album is en route and will arrive at some point in the spring. While he's yet to provide us with a precise date or even title for the album, Hawthorne has shared a seductive new tune in the freshly-released single "Cosmic Love." It's a blissful romp through vintage r&b airspace with Hawthorne's slow-burning croon sliding and gliding through and through. Here's one tailor-made (tux-fit?) for those in-between-the-sheets moments.
