Listen To A Full Stream Of Mayer Hawthorne & Jake One's 'Tuxedo' LP
Mayer Hawthorne & Jake One first began teasing us with their Tuxedo funk even before the disco-fueled craze of “Get Lucky” began stirring in Spring of 2013, before they had even revealed that they were, in fact, the musical madmen behind the project. Now, just a few weeks short of two years since that debut EP as the mysterious purveyors of sophisticated funky stuff, we’ve been gifted a couple of luscious boogie-blessed specimens in their rework of Paul McCartney‘s “Wonderful Christmastime” and the new joint “Number One.” But that’s hardly enough to curb our appetite for this blazing musical linkage. Today the suit&tied duo have made their full-length treatment of the project available to taste well before it’s official drop on March 3rd, giving you a whole week to soak up the goodness before you can own it. So while most of the country is shivering their days away, hopefully this will provide you with a little sonic sunshine to ride with for the rest of this miserable winter. Hit the link below to stream the album in its entirety via NPR First Listen and preorder the record on iTunes today ahead of its March 3rd drop.
