Jidenna Shares A Bold New Clip For "Long Live The Chief"
It’s been a minute since we’ve seen or heard something new from Wondaland‘s “Classic Man,” Jidenna. But now that the secret shows, mixtape curations and guest spots in fellow wondas’ videos have had time to settle, the Flatbush resident has graced us with another vivid visual treatment, bringing his latest single “Long Live The Chief ” to life in typically dapper fashion. Donning a plush cap and suit to match, Jidenna swags his way through the clip leading a legion of pallbearers through the funeral procession of any emcee that steps. While the track was technically debuted in a live clip back in the warmer days of the year, this is the first truly conceptual piece for it and it makes for a damn-good compliment. Watch the new visual for Jidenna’s latest single “Long Live The Chief” below and if you’re looking to take it home with you, head over to iTunes to cop the Wondaland debut compilation, Eephus, featuring tracks from Janelle Monae, St. Beauty, Deep Cotton and Roman Gianarthur. Keep your eyes on us and your ears to the ground for more from Jidenna in the months ahead as we continue to track that man’s ascent.
