It’s been a minute since Théo Mode released his EP Soft Blue Violet Tears and now he’s back with a stunning full length project. The album, which is titled MVSSV (pronounced Massive), straddles multiple genres and bounces back from dark to upbeat production while Théo’s lyrics, rapped and sung, touch on timely issues such as blackness in the face of white supremacy to love and relationships. From smooth electronic synths to flutteringly affected vocals to head nod inducing piano melodies MVSSV is able to do a lot within twelve tracks. MVSSV was a labor of love that took Théo approximately a year and a half to bring into fruition. The tracks on the project were created in Seattle, Oakland, Union City, and Brooklyn. All songs were written and produced by Théo Mode. The twelve track project boasts features from Anna Wise who connects with Théo on the track “Spells,” Gwen Bunn, Jean Deaux, Ria Boss, Nappy Nina, and Benjamin Earl Turner. MVSSV was released via label LucidHaus. You can listen and cop MVSSV via multiple streaming services including Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon Music and Spotify or check out singles from the project via Soundcloud below.
