Teyana Taylor Premieres New "Made It" and "Bare Wit Me" Videos

Taylor also dropped another single from her upcoming album.

Commencement season is upon us, and Teyana Taylor is honoring graduates who won't be able to walk across the stage. The "Made It" video, directed by Taylor herself, features recorded contributions from dozens of 2020 graduates.

Taylor's production company, The Aunties, reached out for participants on social media a few weeks ago. "Made It" is special to Teyana. Due to her recording career, she never experienced formal high school graduation. She congratulated the Class of 2020 on Instagram.

"Unfortunately, this pandemic has stopped us from physically gathering and celebrating," she wrote. "But this pandemic can't stop your spirit, it can't dim your light, and it can't take your degree away from you!"

Taylor also released the video for "Bare Wit Me," the next single from her upcoming album. Taylor, playing the character Greyla Greathouse, gives her take on some Michael Jackson-esque choreography moments in the video. Her husband Iman Shumpert stars as Illinois Jones. The two flip these moments into a 1930s noir murder mystery, only live in technicolor.

Since the end of 2019, Taylor's regularly released singles from the upcoming album. Additionally, she's directed all the corresponding visuals. "We Got Love" features Ms. Lauryn Hill, while "How You Want It? (HYWI?) featured King Combs. Her single "Morning" with Kehlani reached the top 10 charts in November.

Stream "Made It" and "Bare Wit Me" on major digital streaming platforms.
