‘Twas the Friday before Christmas, and all through the house — finish the rhyme however you want. It doesn’t matter, because you’ve got some dope new releases to bump as you sip eggnog under the mistletoe this week.
In the spirit of giving, Benny The Butcher delivers two new singles in the form of El Carneciro. And Dababy drops another new single, ending the year giving his fans the gift of new music. Sevyn Streeter takes it back to the '90s on her new track; EST Gee drops “Supreme Sanders;” meanwhile, “Yupanther Went Crazy” features SmokePurpp doing what he does best: provide speaker-destroying slaps.
On the album side of things…
YFN Lucci delivers his latest, and we get a special edition from Polo G; as well as the new Dave East mixtape.
Each week, Okayplayer will deliver a roundup of all the latest new heat from some of our favorite artists. Check out the latest offerings in our playlist below:
NEW SONGS
BENNY THE BUTCHER - “IIGHT IGHT”
“El Carneciro” is Spanish for “the butcher” and it’s the name of Benny’s new double single. His pen remains fierce, but it’s getting to a point where he’s flexing his mastery of the craft.
BENNY THE BUTCHER FEAT. ESTEE NACK - “SUPERNATURAL”
Effortlessly dope and a standout for anyone who loves to hear emcees bringing out the best in each other. Nack drops a powerful guest verse on this one.
DABABY - “PAPER LOW”
Chest-thumping confidence with just enough vulnerability peeking out, the latest from DaBaby has him ending the year fairly strong.
SMOKEPURPP/YUPANTHER - “YUPANTHER WENT CRAZY”
Sinister synths over that distinct drumbeat and everybody sounds right at home. The kind of murky, moody trap that Purpp has always made his calling card.
THEARTI$T - “ON THE FLOOR”
The rising R&B artist returns with this emotionally driven track that lingers. Her music is intimate, smooth, and unapologetically honest, her new track captures the moment when desire takes over and feelings can no longer be held back.
SEVYN STREETER - “’97”
Nineties R&B remains a touchstone for so many artists, and Sevyn fully embraced the vibe on her new single. It never feels like empty nostalgia—this is classic R&B.
EST GEE - “SUPREME SANDERS”
Gritty luxury rap at its finest. The rhymer out of Louisville previewed the track on Instagram last week, and now fans can finally hear it officially.
BABYFXCE E - “BLACKOUT”
His debut album is due to arrive in February, and expectations are high. The fans are primed and ready, especially after his performance on Kai Cenat's "On The Radar."
CHASE B, DON TOLIVER, SOFAYGO - “SATELLITE”
The lead single for Chase’s upcoming album, this is a sleek, late-night vibe that seems to fit all three artists. Chase first previewed the track in a club in October, so fans have been waiting for this one.
BRANDY HAZE - “SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE”
The follow-up to her recent single “Week Ago” finds Haze fully in her bag. Produced by DV$TPH and Gwess, the track glides with warm chords and a smooth groove that instantly feels familiar.
NEW ALBUMS
YFN LUCCI - ‘ALREADY LEGEND (GIFTED EDITION)’
With appearances by Bigga Rankin, Jeezy, Hurricane Wisdom, and 42 Dugg and T-Pain, this expanded edition (it’s not the only one this week) is worth the listen. Six new tracks.
DAVE EAST - ‘EASTMIX (VOL. 1)’
Ain’t no features, just East’s bars. And he sounds hungry, folks. After dropping two editions of "Karma 4" in October, he's delivering a new project with no rollout.
RAQ BABY - ‘I NEVER GAVE AF (DELUXE)’
The 20-year-old rapper has generated quite a bit of kudos throughout the year. Now as 2025 draws to a close, he drops an expanded version of his hit album.
POLO G - ‘HOOD POET: BLACK HEART EDITION’
Deluxe editions are clearly a popular gift this holiday season, because Polo G also has one to put under the fans’ Christmas tree.
MARCO PLUS - ‘MARCO PLUS VS. THA UNDERWORLD’ (DELUXE EDITION)
Yet another expanded edition that has Plus adding eight new tracks to his standout album. And it’s got an impressive array of guest appearances from Boldy James, SWAVAY, Chris Patrick and Ovrkast.
