The Miami rapper spoke at length with Trick Daddy on their radio show about her thoughts on Miami protestors amid nationwide protests.

“Keep everybody off the street. These animals off the street running around in Miami-Dade County acting like they…have escaped from a zoo. Lock them up at 5 p.m., so the streets could be nice and clean” Trina declared during her radio show on 99 Jamz with Trick Daddy

That wasn’t the end of her commentary on the Miami protestors who have taken to the streets to stand in solidarity with other nationwide activists following George Floyd‘s death. She also urged Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez to start Miami’s curfew earlier. “They need to make the curfew at 6 p.m.,” the curfew of 9 p.m. was too late according to the Miami rapper.

During the episode, Trina also shared her thoughts on the property damage that has reportedly taken place in Miami, per Local 10.  She added a business owned by one of her friends had been destroyed. “We can’t bring back nobody lives that has been taken away, whether it’s from the police or the hands of another civilian,” she said. “We cannot bring them back. You cannot pump life back into them at all. I can’t bring back my little brother’s life, his life was taken by the hands of a man, a black man.”

Trick Daddy inquired what the streets of the city have to do with the lives also impacted by the COVID-19 quarantine. This could have been a way for him to suggest the property damage and looting is perhaps due to job loss. She replied, “That means tear up our city? That means run through, and tear up our stores, and burn down our stuff, and break in our stores.”

In an additional clip, Trina shared she believes protestors aren’t marching on behalf of George Floyd and are being “fake.” Trick Daddy shared the following in response:

“First of all, everybody wasn’t looting and burning up stuff. So, you cannot compare what other people are doing to the people that are using this for the wrong reasons because it’s a handful of them. It’s only a handful of them, the rest of us are tired of it. When the police get behind you and them red and blue lights come on, you’re not supposed to be scared.”

Trina replied, “I’m never scared. I have my license and registration and insurance. I’m not scared. I know my rights.”

When Trina’s tone-deaf clips hit social media, fans reacted almost immediately. After they began trending on Twitter, she backed down from what she originally shared. She also responded to few fans and added more of her thoughts.

She wrote, “Some of y’all are plain fuckN ignorant and nothing nobody do will help period,” and “I’m at work and I’m muthafuckn ready.”
