Walker speaks candidly about Wendy Williams, her delayed Toronto concert and more in a recent Instagram Live video.

Summer Walker has been receiving flack over the past month or so. In what some would call a moment of being fed up, Walker addresses ongoing concerns from her growing fanbase: a recent Toronto concert delay and negative showering comments.

Despite recently canceling the majority of her ongoing tour, fans still have been taking to social media to publicly share their opinions on the artist. Yesterday, she took to Instagram Live to set the record straight. She began the clip by sharing that she does in fact take showers. Over a month ago, she posted a wash bowl which led fans to believe she doesn't.

She went on to share:

"What I said was 'I don't like to take showers.' I still take them daily. I prefer baths but I take them daily. A lot of people say they don't like to work out but they get fat ass to the gym and they still work out. A lot of people say they don't like to eat healthy but they still eat their motherfucking vegetables. I don't like to take showers."

Another trigger for Walker's fans is her demeanor at shows and fan meet-ups, it has been described as lackluster and unenthusiastic. Most recently, she reportedly showed up on stage hours late for a show in Toronto. When speaking on this, she shared that the Toronto border actually held her up.

She also expressed that by the time she arrived to the venue she had ten minutes to do her makeup. Walker even debunked the idea that she was hanging out with Drake the entire time, despite sharing a photo on Instagram while fans were waiting.

On the Toronto border she shared:

"Toronto's borders are out of this fucking world. They held my motherfucking truck up with all my equipment, my band equipment, that motherfucking thing in the back of me that be spinning. They held all that shit up at the border for mad long... So bitch how we gonna play a show with no drums, no fucking mics, and no motherfucking guitars. See it's out of my motherfucking control!"

Later in the clip she also spoke about Wendy Williams and others who said that she was pretending to have anxiety on stage at the 2019 Soul Train Awards. When mentioning her minute-long speech, she said:

"I cannot even accept an award in peace. When you actually see me get my award and you see how I spoke on that stage. Bitch, look I sounded slow. I was scared. I was scared, okay? Everybody else gave a long ass speech. I didn’t because I have social anxiety. I was scared as fuck. Then, everybody decided to say it was an act. 'Oh, it’s an act. Bitch, you’re dragging it.’ I just want to let y’all know—not me bitch because I’m living a great life but this is how people commit suicide, okay? When people tell you what’s literally going on with them and then people still continue to bully them."
