Over the last few years, North Carolinian microphone maven, Rapsody, has come onto the scene with truly heroic levels of excellence. Her last few months have proven to be particularly prolific strides, contributing to albums from Anderson .Paak, Talib Kweli as well as 9th Wonder and Murs’ free tape, Brighter Daze.
And that doesn’t even take into account her work on Kendrick Lamar‘s To Pimp A Butterfly where she joined the Compton rapper for the album cut “Complexion.” While the last year alone should have you thinking Rapsody’s more meta than human in most instances (especially when it comes to all things lyrical,) Mass Appeal‘s latest installment in their aptly-titled Super series, reveals just what kind of real-life superhero Rapsody, err, “Queen Rap,” would be, endowed with some new skills. Spreading love, light and positivity by way of mood-altering glance and touch, Queen Rap would embody just what her not-so-normal mic-wielding self has over the years, standing strong as one of few beacons in the game. Watch Rapsody reveal her superpowered self on Super down below. Don’t miss her set at this year’s Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival.
