Prince. Earlier this year, The Kid stripped his entire catalogue from each and every streaming service, making it TIDAL exclusive. Now we’re finding that he and the 3rdEyeGirls will be dropping a follow-up to 2014’s Plectrum Electrum at some point this year. The announcement comes from across the pond, where 3EG drummer Hannah Welton confirmed the new album, aptly titled Hit N Run after his surprise live show series, which helped ease the unrest in Baltimore following the murder of Freddie Gray.
According to Welton, both his latest single “HARDROCKLOVER” and an update on “This Could Be Us” are slated to be featured on the new record. And, in true Prince fashion, the record could be dropping sooner than any of us could have imagined. So be sure to keep your eyes on us and your ears to the ground. In the meantime, you can always jump back and peep the recently released and all-kinds-of moving visuals for “Baltimore” to hold you over. Just know that The Purple One cometh and it’s bound be funky.
