[UPDATE: In a recent interview with FACT, Miss E Misdemeanor revealed that she's sitting on five or six albums of material the world will likely never hear. ]
Missy Elliott has returned with the release of not only a surprise new track titled "I'm Better" but some visuals to accompany it. "I'm Better" features the rapper Lamb. The track is available on multiple streaming platforms including Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, TIDAL, and others. "I'm Better" features a minimal beat with Missy employing the latest musical fads all the while maintaining the aesthetics she has become known the world over for. Missy's last album was 2005's The Cookbook.
Back in 2015, Missy dropped the track "WTF" featuring Pharrell Williams. She followed that up in 2016, as Michelle Obama and Missy linked up during an episode of The Late Late Show‘s“Carpool Karaoke.” Head here to check out the clip. Also last year, Missy was honored at VH1’s Hip Hop Honors ‘All Hail The Queens’ edition along with Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa, and Lil’ Kim. The evening featured performances from Solange, Nelly Furtado, Da Brat, Rah Digga, Eve, Dej Loaf, Fantasia, Monica, Keshia Cole, Naughty By Nature, Trina, Fat Joe, The Lox, and many more.
If you missed it or just want to revisit the performances, head here. Watch the video for Missy Elliott's new song "I'm Better" featuring Lamb via YouTube below and stay tuned (hopefully) for some more music.
