Fans Are Upset Kanye West Walked on Water at Sunday Service in Georgia

West and his Sunday Service choir walked on water over the weekend in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Kanye West and Joel Osteen are catching fire for West’s latest Sunday Service events hosted over the weekend in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Since Kim Kardashian typically is present for these religiously charged events, she shared footage of West mimicking The New Testament story of Jesus Christ walking on water. Peter, one of the disciples also walked on water during this biblical story. Joined by his children North and Saint, Kanye walked across a pond during the sunset service, which was one of two services.
The choir was also a large part of the services. They joined West in the middle of the pond and performed numerous songs including “Ultralight Beam.” According to TMZ, Osteen performed a water-based sermon.

When the videos and footage from the event popped on social media platforms, fans immediately began sharing their thoughts. There were quite a few instances where individuals shared their distaste for West and Osteen’s Sunday Service.
I didn’t like it one bit! Illusion or not I feel like they technically compared themselves to Jesus in the Illusion. I told my children turn it off because Jesus is the only man to ever walk on water and you don’t play around like that. It’s almost blasphemy, to me.

Seeing Joel Osteen embrace the “Walk on Water” sermon with Kanye West only proves that these televangelist are just not it. Many of them preach that “we are God in human form” type word and not “we are to live for God” and that just don’t sit well with me at all.

That’s exactly what it is. A cult. He is preying on the weak and using his influence & start power to mesmerize them just like that man Jim Jordan did. Watch they gonna try to move them all to a commune in Wyoming in the middle of nowhere, away from civilization!

There were some takes that didn’t find anything discomforting about the “walking on water” bit.
Kanye put a stage on water to walk on t and the dumb asses over at Shaderoom thinks he’s mocking Jesus.
First of all, do you even know the definition of ‘mocking’ 😑

Kanye’s Sunday Service him, his family, and choir appear to walk on water as they perform on a pond.
People are mad.
I went to go read Luke 14.
Peter walked on water too in verse 29.. but no outrage?
Let that artist express himself to his creator.. and go floss your teeth lol pic.twitter.com/M7wDknLpbA

Attendees of the service included Monica, La La Anthony, 2 Chainz and countless others. 150 people were reportedly in attendance and social distancing guidelines were followed. Unsurprisingly, the Sunday Service went viral. If there’s anything that Kanye West is good at, he’s damn good at staying fixated in the public eye.
