Kanye West Shares The CDQ Version Of New Single "All Day"
After debuting the track in a blaze of glory at the BRIT Awards last week, Kanye West has unveiled the full, studio cut of “All Day” for your listening pleasure. All of the booming touches are intact, just cleaned up and touched up with all of the swagger you can bear. Certainly reminiscent of the industrious and industrial Yeezus template, the CDQ adds a few touches of 8-bit brilliance in a previously unheard outro to the song, where you can find your boy whistling the melody over a very bare, washed-out acoustic guitar, before erupting into something wholly new and strange altogether.
If anything can derived from the onslaught of Yeezy appearances and mentions as of late, it’s definitely new album o’clock for your boy. Friday we got to hear and see round 2 of Ye’s interview with Zane Lowe, where he appeared markedly more humble, even breaking down into tears at one point. And this weekend saw not only the “public” apology to Beck that many of you had hoped for, but also the unveiling of the name for his forthcoming album, now known as So Help Me God. You can listen to the CDQ version of “All Day” below with some added commentary on the track’s creation from featured artist Theophilus London.
