Flying Lotus‘ BBC Radio 1 residency has been full of unsuspected treats since it jumpstarted at the top of the year. There have been countless oh-shit moments, like, say, interviewing jazz giant Herbie Hancock or dropping unreleased tracks from Thundercat, Joey Bada$$, unheard verses from Kendrick Lamar and a whole lot more. But it seems the music nerdery won’t be stopping there. On tonight’s installment of The FlyLo Show, the madcap music man will be chopping it up with none other than Mr. Lamar himself, hopefully breaking down the critically immune To Pimp A Butterfly in ways we’ve yet to hear in any music blog ramblings. And who better to deliver the word than the album’s chief architect and one of it’s most prominent contributors?
