On the same night where music fans were taking in Michel'le's story with a Lifetime film and streaming the likes of Beyonce, Nicki Minaj and Lauryn Hill on Tidal, Bruno Mars was on SNL, continuing to show why he's one of pop's most dominant stars.

First, Bruno Mars performed "24K Magic" - the title track, opening single, and sureshot party starter from his upcoming album that he announced a week ago. He and his back-up vocalists/dancers started the performance in the dressing room, then sang and danced with members of the crowd. They ended their performance on the stage, where they joined their band and flawlessly pulled off a silky set of choreographed dance moves.

Later, Mars and his crew returned to debut a new song called "Chunky." The song takes on a retro, dance-friendly feel. The hook:"Chunky/Looking for them girls with the big old hoops/That drop it down in daisy dukes/They're the ones I'm trying to recruit/I'm looking at you/Yeah, you baby." The song will likely be another hit for the Grammy-winning, chart-topping pop titan. Bruno Mars' album 24K Magic is scheduled for a November 18, 2016 release.

Bruno Mars' performance on SNL follows last weekend's appearance by The Weeknd, who performed "Starboy" and "False Alarm."
