The stacked lineup for The Roots Picnic London has been announced. Among the headliners are Floetry, Common, Bilal, Benny the Butcher and a set featuring Nas performing alongside The Roots themselves. The very first Roots Picnic London edition is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 8, and Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, at Crystal Palace Bowl. Other confirmed acts for the weekend include Sasha Keable, J.Period Live Mixtape feat. Black Thought, Nia Smith, Anthony Hamilton, and Musiq Soulchild
Roots Picnic is part of Palace Bowl Presents, a new festival series in the U.K. featuring an eclectic lineup of global headliners.
Day One features performances by a wide mix of acts, including Sasha Keable and Nia Smith, with J.PERIOD’s Live Mixtape, featuring Black Thought, Yasiin Bey and Benny The Butcher. Sunday showcases a “Sunday Jam” with Robert Glasper and Questlove, alongside special guests Common and Bilal. Anthony Hamilton headlines with support from Musiq Soulchild, Floetry and Gotts Street Park to close things that evening.
Since it launched in 2007, The Roots Picnic has been a mainstay of Philadelphia's music scene. Its lineup has featured a bevy of iconic performers, with Jay-Z and Erykah Badu announced as this year’s headliners.
