Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. album has officially gone platinum.
Interscope Records broke the news on its Twitter on Thursday, with the Recording Industry Association of America declaring that Lamar's fourth album was certified platinum in less than a month since its release.

Lamar has made some notable accomplishments with his latest album. Aside from DAMN. being the first album of 2017 to go platinum, each song on the release has appeared on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and the album sold more than 600,000 units in its first week, beating out Drake's opening week sales by 100,000 units.
So far Lamar has released one single from the album — "Humble." A video for the song was released prior to DAMN.'s release, followed by the release of the music video for "DNA." Lamar also recently served as a headliner for this year's Coachella music festival.
Soon Lamar will embark on a tour with D.R.A.M. and Travis Scott. The tour will begin on July 12 in Glendale, Arizona, and conclude on August 6 in Los Angeles, California. Tickets for the tour can be purchased here.
