Janet Jackson To Celebrate 'Rhythm Nation's' 30-Year Anniversary With Upcoming Las Vegas Residency

The legendary singer is the latest to announce a Las Vegas residency.

Janet Jackson will have her own Las Vegas residency this summer. The iconic singer and performer's residency will have 15 days each throughout the months of May, July, and August, with the first show kicking off on May 17. Jackson will play the Park Theater at the Park MGM resort. The exact dates for each show are below.

According to a press release for the show via the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "The centerpiece of this all new thought-provoking show, will be Janet herself, captivating you through your senses with electrifying visuals, explosive dance numbers, chart-topping hits and fan favorite deep cuts. The show also features a special 30-year anniversary celebration of her ground-breaking album Rhythm Nation."

"Fans will follow her path to self-love, empowerment, motherhood and activism, amid the challenges faced along her personal journey. She encourages her audiences to find their own light within themselves through her Metamorphosis," the release continued.

Tickets for the show can be purchased through Ticketmaster when they go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday. The price for the tickets start at $79.

Last year, Jackson was included as a nominee for the 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame list. LL Cool J and Rufus & Chaka Khan are among this year's nominees along with Jackson.
